  • Unable to get an interview

I have applied for a Government Service Postion that is currently open. The position became available on May 30, 2004. I work in the Department that has the opening but in a different capacity. We have recieved several lists of applicants but I have not been on any of those lists. I am qualified for the position and am currently doing the job. What can I do to force them to include my resume so I can get an interview for the position? The position is the Human Resource Assistant assigned to the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps Unit. This is a government position and I can't seem to get anywhere with the personnel department.

That's very strange that they haven't included you as an applicant. Have they said why? You may wish to contact the Office of Personnel Management to see if they can shed light as to what is happening.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
