  • Proof of car insurance

My employer is now requiring a proof of insurance card from employees who drive for the company... Which is fine. But now they are requesting to have a copy of our entire insurance policy. This seems a little extreme to me. Do I legally have to provide this? Isnt my insurance card enough?

While it may seem extreme, your employer has the right to ask for that information. The only exception is if it contains information that is private, such as medical conditions.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
