  • scheduling and hours

I work in retail and i just wanted to now if it is legal if your boss can post your schedule the day before the week is over. I also think my boss is retaliating on me because he put me to work on sunday (schedule posted saturday around 6pm) i called that sunday morning they told me sunday, tuesday, thusrsday i was scheduled. i told him that i couldnt go on sunday because the schedule was posted very late. then i went to work on tuesday and he took me hours for thursday and gave them to someone else.

if this is un clear you can email me at [email protected]

Is it legal though to take away hours after they have already been posted

    Posting of the Schedule

It is not illegal for him/her to post your schedule as he/she has been doing. If you are unable to come to work on Sundays because of your religion, you may ask to be accomodated on the basis of your religion. However, not going to work because he/she didn't give you enough notice is not protected legally.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
