  • Wrongful Termination? Illinois

I am due overtime from my employer but they refuse to pay. I filed a complain with the Illinois Department of Labor. I notified my employer of this (not sure I should have done that). It so happened that the same day I notified them of the complaint there was a job posting on Craigslist for my job-created less than one hour after I notified them. Am I protected from termination for filing a complait against them? Thanks!!!

If you are terminated for filing the complaint, amend your complaint with the Il.
DOL to include retaliation for filing the complaint/claim.
