  • Wrongful Termination Rhode Island

What steps should I take to fight a wronful termination in RI. Is RI at will state?

  • #2
49 of 50 states are "at will", and the one that is not at will is not RI. Colorado maybe. Definately one of the Rocky Mountain states. And even that state is "at will" some of the time.

Most terminations are in fact legal. "Most", not "all". If you think that you have been wrongfully terminated, you might try posting some details. Termination law tends to be very detail specific.

Just as an aside, the state that is not 100% "at will", is Montana, and even there at will CAN apply.

What exactly happened that you believe this is wrongful termination?
Not everything in America is actionable in a court of law. Please remember that attorneys are in business for profit, and they get paid regardless of whether or not you win or lose.

I offer my knowledge and experience at no charge, I admit that I am NOT infallible, I am wrong sometimes, hopefully another responder will correct me if that is the case with the answer above, regardless, it is your responsibility to verify any and all information provided.

Agree, we need more details to give you any idea of whether you might have a wrongful termination case.
