  • Privately held Corp as an employee association? Louisiana

If I start a privately held corporation can I operate it as an an employee association? I am not looking to file as a labor union nor will I seek a tax exempt status. I called the NLRB and DOL all who said they have no jurisdiction over an association or organization that represents state or government employees regardless if their tax status as for profit or tax exempt. This employee corp/association would represent employee organizations.

Are there any requirements to operate as an association or to have the word "Association" as part of the name of the corporation?

This is not something which can be addressed via message board. You really need to spend the bucks and consult competent counsel.
