Default Alabama Labor Law

I work for a small engineering/manufacturing firm. Today they established new work rules and required everyone to sign a form which precluded any law suits against the company and any issues must go to arbitration only (thru a firm they hired). If you did not sign, they fired you immediately. Also, new work rules include body/clothing searches anytime, searches of vehicles, must provide access to email accounts, cellphone records, & copy of drivers licenses. They already monitor the work ares by video and sound to listen in on whatever is going on on a real time basis. We don't know whether they are monitoring thr rest rooms or not with hidden cameras. The only work we are doing at present is remodeling of the facility as they have lost their contracts and their is no real work to be done. None of the new rules or the agreement we were forced to sign have been provided to us in writing.

I tried to review Alabama labor laws and work rules and their is next to nothing available and certainly nothing that explains our current situation. If there were other jobs avaiable for us, the whole work force (professional/hourly) would have quit today.

Can anyone give me information on where to find current Alabama law which would address/clarify these issues?

No, I can't. But I can suggest that you take the form you were required to sign to a local attorney and have them review it for enforceability. This is not a do it yourself project.
