Default Keeping last paycheck for relocation Expenses???

Hi!

I recently gave my three weeks notice that I am leaving my job. The HR director told me that they are going to keep my last check and all vacation pay. I had an agreement that if I didnt stay with the company for 1 yr that I was responsible for for the relocation expenses. Can they hold my last check???

Any help I can get would be wonderful!

So, did the agreement you signed state that they would deduct it from your final pay? Or that you would just be "responsible"? It can only be deducted if you authorized the deduction in writing.
