Unhappy Missouri Evening Schedule

I'm a hairstylist and the shop I work at is open from 10am to 8pm during the week. The owner has the schedule made up to where one of the stylists always has to work the last hour and close the shop alone. That leaves one of us there by ourselves for an hour in the evening. He says he will not schedule two because we don't do enough business in that last hour. None of us are comfortable as we feel this makes us a huge target for criminals. Especially since we are all women too. It just doesn't feel right. Any info and help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Sorry, but there's no law requiring him to always have two people on duty. I can understand how you'd feel more comfortable if he did, but he's not violating any laws and you have no way of compelling him to change the policy.
