Default Not getting paid on time, or at all

The company I work with is located in NH. I am an independent contractor in the field of medical transcription. I have been working for a company for a couple of years, and beginning last February she started screwing with our paychecks/payperiods. I was due to get paid for an invoice that I sent for work completed 02/19/06 through 03/04/2006 and I have not yet received this pay.

I would like to know if there is any recourse that I have on this person. I have since terminated my work with her as this has been ongoing for over a year now and it is ruining my credit.

Since you were an Independent Contractor and not an employee, your only recourse would be to file suit in court for the monies you are owed.
