There are two types of legally defined "harassment."
harassment, as a tort, which would be excessive, pervasive behavior such as numerous phone calls, letters, "stalking." This (usually) does not apply in employment. Harassment based upon a "protected" characteristic, such as race, gender, religion, national origin, disability, age (if over 40), and in some states, martial status, sexual preference, or with regards to economic assistance. It sounds as if your co-workers have taken a dislike to you. While unfortuante, and perhaps even unfair, it is not illegal. The best thing you can do is continue to report anything that may significatly affect your ability to do your job, and perhaps begin to seek employment elsewhere. good luck. |
