I was just curious about what the laws are in my state regarding maternity leave. How much time am I entitled to take, and am I eligible for paid leave?

Off the top of my head I don't know how much, if any, time is required by Maine law. I can tell you that there is only one state in the US that requires paid leave, and even in that state only in some circumstances. That state is not Maine. So you will only receive paid leave if your employer chooses to provide it.
