Default commision pay

I am a car salesmen at an independent dealership. My 2 questions are should I get pay even if I don't sale anything for my time at my job, and 2nd I have been here almost to years and I get a week of vacation but do not get paid for it, since I am on commision only. Everybody else that works here gets a paid vacation except me and one other sales person. If they don't have to pay me to me this means I can take time off anytime I want, because I am not being paid for it and its like personal time off.

are you on a draw against commision? they are not required to offer you vacation time/pay.

No I am not on a draw. What about time spent on job if no sales, should I get minimum wage for that.

to the best of my knowledge, no. I'm not an expert on this, so check with the DOL. But from what I understand, commission only employees are usually exempt from the usual wage guidelines. Please check with DOL, I very easily could be wrong.
