Red face Live in Maine, work for company in NC

I live in Maine but work for a company in North Carolina as a medical transcriptionist. I did not plan on getting pregnant, so had not signed up for the short-term disability offered by my employer. Does either Maine or North Carolina have a state program that offers any kind of disability benefits for me while I am out on maternity leave?

The only states that offer state disability plans are California, Hawaii, New Jersey, New York and Rhode Island (also Puerto Rico, which is not a state).
