Default questions regarding being fired!!!!!!!!!

it all started when me and another worker dropped dirty UA's, We both we're givin a name and a number to a medical advisor, and was told to call and talk to him about asap, I called every day and was told that he was out of the office on a thursday and wouldn't be back until the following tuesday, and according to my co-worker he was told the same thing. I called back the following tuesday, and he was there, but busy with a client, I left a message with the receptionist that told him to call me to make an appointment with me regarding the sap class and my evaluation. I asked my co- worker and according to him he was givin an appointment by the receptionist. I was never told that I had 72 hours to make an appointment, by anyone! I got fired, Knowning that the other co- worker was not with in the 72 hours, I asked why wasn't he fired, and that's when I started to recieve more reasons for being fired. I was missed 9 days, and 6 out of those 9 days we're excused with doctor notices, the co- worker I did know very well, and did know for a fact that he missed more days, and didn't call for atleast a week and a half, the boss that fired me, asked me several times if I knew where he was. they claimed he called every day and had an excuse for every day. It just seemed that no matter what I brought up that was existing the same way between the other and myself, he was excused and I wasn't. Is'nt there any way to look into this, my other thoughts is that this co worker was in the federal pin and there just trying to save him from being provoked.

any advise???? Misssouri

oh. now I understand.

Your employer is doing nothing illegal. your employer may treat you differently than another, similarily situated employee as long as it is not based on a "protected characteristic" such as race, or gender, or in violation/retailiation for some other law, such as "whistleblowing."
