Is this a Civil Rights violation

Recently the school in which I am employeed, has been attacked by some troubled community members. These members have asked for several public documents of which were provided. Now they have asked for copies of teacher contracts. Most of us do not have a problem with them knowing what we make, even though we feel that they will just cause us trouble in one form or another. However, we all have a very big problem with these jerks having a document that has our true signature on it. These people have proven themselves to be ruthlessly ignorant with a mind capable only of spiteful, vengful, hateful and immoral activity. What can we do? Do we have the right to protect our legal sinature.

No, this is not a civil rights violation. Not even close.

What do you think is going to happen if they get a look at your signature? Even if they are granted access to the documents, it's highly unlikely that they will be permitted to keep copies of them.

I hear you loud and clear on not being a civil rights violation, however my understanding is that they will have copies of our contracts which have our signatures on them. I know that I sound paranoid but these people have already tried to accuse me of slapping a child in which was posted all over the news (television and newspaper) and when that did not work, they accused be of abusing other children which was also dismissed as soon as the investagation began. I am not the only person that has been targeted by this group of about 5 people, they are also accusing one of fellow workers of embezelling money and have keyed his car (****ER) down the side. Not to mention they have admitted to getting a hold of his Social Security Number and running a background check in which they found very little and sent a copy to every board member anonomously. This group has started rumors about employees not being certified and caused all kinds of turmoil in our community. We are just so tired of being attacked, and yes I am paranoid that they may try something evil if they have my contract which has my signature.

Being granted access to the documents is NOT the same thing as each of them being given a copy. I would be astounded if they were permitted to do anything except being allowed to view the copies at the town hall, or wherever they are kept. You can, of course, if you have a valid reason to believe otherwise, talk to a local attorney to see if the access can be limited.

IF they are being given copies AND IF something later happens that you can directly tie to their having being given a copy of your signature, you can take legal action. I'm sure these people have heard the word, forgery, and know what it means. You can't sue for something that hasn't happened yet.
