Angry forced labor while sick

Hello I work for a large retailer and i was wondering about tennessee labor laws.
I recently was working my shift when i started feeling terribly sick.... i started vomiting and had my tempature taken and it poped up to 102 degrees. I informed my manager and was told that it was to busy a day to allow anyone to leave sick. ( they once made a woman with heart problems stay when her blood preasure was 198/94 and she had forgoten her medication) So i was forced to work being ill and as if to punish me for asking to go home they took the other two guys out of my department to run registers in diffrent areas and left me alone to load tvs weighing upwards of 250 lbs. is this legal?

Legal? Yes, because there is no law prohibiting it. Stupid and petty on the employer's part? Also, IMHO, yes. Sorry.
