Some companies are begining to make it "mandatory" for employees to have direct deposit or are faced with termination. I believe that you can not force employees to have direct deposit. I remembering reading on it, however I am unable. Does anyone have any information on direct deposit. This for the State of Maryland.

The Maryland Guide to Wage Payment and Employment Standards - Wages and Compensation - Direct Deposit of Wages: Voluntary With voluntary employee authorization, an employer may direct deposit wages. Though free to encourage participation in this system, an employer may currently not require it. |
