Rhiannon <sarallewellyn@gosympatico.ca> wrote in message news:dafc70.0310111857.45e58e22@posting.google.com ... (snip) It can't be easy facing the thought of being a single parent raising two daughters and a grandchild. I've been a single parent with little support and it is damn difficult. I can't fault anyone (be it a pbparent or a pgrandparent) for not wanting to do it. Maybe she feels safer with the cameras. Interesting point. Maybe she does Yes that's a good point and maybe one of the reasons she was okay with doing the show? I imagine the parents consulted the girls first before going through with this. At least I hope so! She is in a tough spot for sure, she can't do it on her own at this point and yet is it fair to expect her mother to? She says she doesn't which is good but the reality is that her mother will *have* to if she keeps. As I said before, I can empathize with both the daughter and mother. Me too. And I realise that divorce would change the equation drastically. And that is her (mother's) decision. Could be she really has just about had enough. I wouldn't fault her either. However, these look to be people of some means (by my standads, anyway). Could be that the dad has put all his energies into making money, and proving himself that way. He may be a lying jerk, but didn't strike me as fundamentally unfeeling or unloving. Families aren't meant to be pretty, IMO - why, this is hell, nor are any of us out of it. But if the will is there, people can make some kind of a heaven in hell's despite. OTOH, maybe they should *all* be adopted by Dr. Phil and his lady wife (her of the calm yet vigilant aspect, who sits in the audience and radiates wifely radiance) and fed on a diet of pablum, platitudes and a thin gruel of dilute commonsense, until they are born-again as the perfect American family. Rh. Were you by any chance a Buffy fan? That last paragraph is pure Willow. J. |

seeing the end of Spike. Great to know where he's gone. I guess I'll have to start watching Angel now. My daughter and I both watch Buffy - me for Spike and her for Willow. Julia |

TOP POST: I don't know. I saw an interview with her last year and she
said that while she enjoyed the show she was looking to break away. She didn't want to be known for just "Buffy". I have not seen any Angel shows this year but I think it would be cool if she at least showed up once or twice. ![]() --------------------------------------------------------------- TOP POST : I was/am. ![]() WF ---------------------------------------------- Do you think she will be following Spike to Angel's show?
