I live in Iowa and my question is, can my boss legally give extra vacation time to an individual who turns down the insurance package our company offers. We have one employee that declined because her husband had a plan and she thinks she should be compensated for not taking the insurance. I dont think this is right. Insurance is a benefit, if she declines it, her loss. Is it legal for the company to give vacation in lieu of insurance.
