Default Health Insurance MN

My employer offers health insurance to it's employees. They pay half of the fees for any workers that work 32 hours or more in a 2 week pay period.

I was hired as a part time person working 24 hours a pay period and have been there for 15 years. As State regulations have changed with more QC to do, my hours have crept up and I now work around 36 hours per pay period. I recently requested the Health insurance since I am uninsured and haven't been to a Dr in 14 years. (You would never guess I work in a clinic would you?) I actually was surprised my supervisor didn't offer it to me when I foun out about it since I had been meeting the criteria for a couple of years.

My manager refuses to sign me up for the insurance or change my staus froma 24 hour part time to a 32 hour part time as required to get the insurance. So my question is, Is this legal to refuse something a worker is eligible to recieve?

If I meet the requirments of working 32 hours Per Pay period to earn the Health Insurance can they still refuse me over a technicality that I am listed a s a 24 hour worker?

I have seached the Labor Law websites and don't see anything that pertains to this. Thanks for any input and advice!
