Is it legal for an Employer to pay overtime in cash In Michigan? my last employer did so but would never pay the full amount. And isn't it law that you get paid Time and a Half for overtime? I do believe they don't claim with the IRS, the cash paid for either party. Thanks

It is legal to pay in cash. However, taxes still must be withheld and paid, and you still must receive a pay stub detailing gross pay, hours worked, and itemized deductions.
How long has this been going on? Have you determined whether or not these overtime wages have been included on your W-2 forms in the past? |
