Thanks for the help onm y last question, you guys are awesome
now I have another one. My employer, at orientation, told us we would get lunch breaks anywghere between 12pm and 4pm, but i remember reading something about how minors must get a lunch break between 11am and 2pm. There are several other minors who work there also, but I dont think any of them have noticed, but im definately not the only minor working there. Is she allowed to give us lunch at 4? my hours are 8 - 4:30 if it helps ![]() |

NY state law regarding lunch breaks does not make any reference to minors (though many states do). Rather, in NY the law you refer to is dependent on the industry you are in. It does not apply to seasonal operations such as you have described. So yes, they can allow you to take your lunch at 4.
