My husband was fired as a Superintendent of a large construction company. He had 15 days of vacation of which he used 6 of those days leaving 9 unpaid. In his final paycheck, they only paid him for 4 of those days, shorting him 5.

I could not find any Arizona law that requires payment of accrued vacation at termination. However, if the company has a stated policy to pay it out, the state may force the employer to comply with its own policy.
The website is very spare on details and does not address vacation at all. You can call them to inquire about this specific situation. |
