I worked for a small company as a contractor in 2002 and 2003. The company still owes me nearly $10K in wages. They last sent me a check a year ago. The company is still in business.
I went to see a lawyer, and he told me that they have 3 years after the last check to send me the rest of my pay. Can someone here point me to any resources to find out how to get my wages sooner? I do send them a bill every month. |

It sounds like you were an independent contractor, not an employee. If that is the case, the state Dept. of Labor cannot assist you. You would have to file a civil claim.
