Angry final check mailing

I voluntarily left my job for a new one without giving notice. I have called my former employer to have him mail my final check they state that my paycheck is there waiting to be picked up but their policy is not to mail final checks. Is there a law to force employers to mail final checks or can they force you to pick it up

No, employers aren't forced to mail paychecks and some don't. If you have to pick up your check in person, then there's no question that you received it.

Actually, I do know that a couple of states do. But New Jersey isn't one of them.

If you request it to be sent by mail, then that is how they are supposed to handle it, NJSA 34:11-4.3
