Question Mandatory Christmas Party
I work for a company which has a mandatory Christmas party every year. The party is scheduled during work hours and all employees are forced to go to the party or they must take a half day vacation. They leave no other option. Is this legal?

yes, it is. However, since it is mandatory, you must be paid for it.
