I am on the behavioral health field and I was hired as a BHT because I met te requirements of 4 years of education. When I initially talk to the Director he told me that an AA in Criminal Justice counts towars the education given the fact that i have another AA on Psychology. Well, seven months after they told me that they have to make me a BHTT wich means lower pay of about $3 difference otherwise they will receive a fine because it has to be a BA on the same field either CJ or PSYCH or one of my degrees and 2 yrs of experience and I do not have experience on the field. Is this legal since I was offered the position of BHT and I was hired with a certain wage |

There's no need to post the question twice. But in case anyone missed it where I answered the first time, yes, it is legal. It may or may not be unfair, but unfair is not illegal.
