I'm a part-timer at a retailer and for "Black Friday" (friday after Thanksgiving) my company scheduled me for a 16 hour shift without my request or consent. Is this legal? 6a - 10p? I merely had an anxiety attack thinking about a shift that long... I normally work 4 hour shifts.

Yes, it's legal (assuming you're at least 16 years of age.)
I don't blame you for having an anxiety attack just thinking about working in a retail establishment that day though. ![]() |
