2 week notice-DENVER, CO

After working in a salon environment for over one year, I quit my job because my employer and I disagree on how promotions are run. I gave two weeks notice which they declined and asked me to leave that day.

I pick up my regular pay check tomorrow. Are they obligated to pay me for the 2 weeks that I offered and they declined? Is there a website somewhere stating this?

Any helps is appreciated.

Two weeks' notice is a courtesy to employers. It's not a law. They do not have to pay you the two weeks' salary.

Is an employer required to provide 2 weeks notice when they lay off and individual? The had a large layoff but not sufficient based on WARN 33%. Does the CO require them to provide two weeks notice to the employee?

No, unless WARN is triggered, prior notice is not required by law.
