Exclamation Laid off wife in PA is now pregnant

My wife was laid off 3 weeks ago. We just found out she is pregnant. Does PA have any type disability for pregnant women who are unemployed? I'm not sure how she can get a job now that she's pregnant. No one would hire a pregannt women if she tells the truth, and if she lies about it then the new employer probably has cause noty to pay maternity leave. So are there any options? Her unemployment runs out when she'll be 6 months pregnant, then what?

I'm not aware of any disability benefits payable to unemployed workers in PA. You are free to check with your local unemployment office, however.

A prospective employer is legally prohibited from using pregnancy as a reason not to hire. However, nothing in PA or Federal law requires that she receive paid maternity leave no matter how long she has been working for an employer.
