Question Michigan dating...

umm yes i would like help with my question...so if any one has informarion for me PLEASE help..

i am 14 and the person i am seeing is 18
can he get in trouble?
there is NO sexual activity going on..
are we aloud to date??

PLEASE HELP I DON'T WANT HIM TO GET IN TROUBLE!

i am also in michigan and i have a similar situation because i am 16 and dating a 21 yr old, and alot of people in the family law section have helped me out and they said that it is legal to just date as long as there is not sexual activity, because that he can get in trouble for, but dont take my word for it because i dont knoe much about the subject.
