I live and work in NY state. The last several week my employer is distributing payroll and when employees either go to cash their checks they are unable to cash due to NSF and many checks are being returned to employees NFS. Anyone know NYS laws on payroll period? Does NYS have payroll bounced check law? Any advice how to handle this situation.
Also does anyone know if payroll had given times when it needs to be distributed.. My employer makes her own times up changing weekly. I thought it had to be at the end of my shift . She makes employees come back to get their checks after leaving after their shift ended and seems to do it when bank is closed. HELPP !!!!!!! |

ok, then this answers the question I asked in response to your other post.
Your employer is responsible for making sure the paychecks are negotiable. File a claim with the state Dept. of Labor. And, as I told the other poster, polish up your resume. There is no point in working for free. |
