Hi,
My friend works in a fast food establishment recently acquired by a franchise. The franchise is now requiring all employees sign a document stating that in the event of a cash draw shortage, the shorted amount would be deducted from the employee's paycheck. I have checked out Dol.gov and the link below that has been previously given. From what I gather, the employer cannot withhold wages unless they are voluntarily assigned, which would be the purpose of the document. Is this an accurate assessment? Can the employer terminate my friend for refusal to sign the document? Any input would be greatly appreciated http://www.azleg.state.az.us/Format...=23&DocType=ARS |
