I don't know if i am posting this in the correct place but i live in Virginia and I have a question about holiday pay. My husband works nights and where he works the office is closed during the day on July 4th. If it is mandatory for him to work the night of July 4th and he is not being given any compensation for the fact that it is a federal holiday is it required by law that he be paid time and half or is that up to the employer?
