Default from salary/commission to commission only

I've worked for a company for 17 years with a compensation of salary and commission. This year, I was told I would no longer receive a salary, reducing my income by approximately 20%. I am now subject to "manditory" meetings and events that I was not subject to before. I am also being given stricter time requirements as to where I have to be at certain periods of the day. I am an outside sales agent and work from my truck and my home. The company does not provide me with office space, computer, fax machine, etc. The company claims I am an exempt employee. I believe they've turned me into an independent sales agent. Can the company dictate manditory meetings and time constraints which causes me more work while reducing my income to commission only?
