Hello...My husband worked for a company for over 2 years. In that time, they were late paying him numerous times, but eventually caught the paychecks up. The last 5 weeks before he quit/got fired, they did not pay him. He was planning on quitting to look for a job full time, but the owners said they would fire him so that he could get unemployment. They still have not paid him for those last 5 weeks, and that was in June, because they say they don't have the money. But we have heard, that the employer has not missed a check of his own, and even takes vacations. What rights, as an employee, do we have to get the money owed for work done?

He has the right to contact the state DOL and file a complaint for unpaid wages.
