Question Demotion-pay stays

I was wondering how the pay works if a person is demoted from a supervisor position down to a lower position. Does the supervisor get to keep his pay at rate they are at since it was a involuntary demotion or do they have no rights against taking a $400+ pay cut? this is in Michigan by the way.

Alexa, this is entirely a matter of company policy. If an employer wishes to reduce someone's pay if they're demoted, they may.
