In North Carolina, is it lawful to deduct 30 minutes for lunch automatically from the employee's time? This employee is a Salary non-exempt employee.

is it lawful to deduct 30 minutes for lunch automatically from the employee's time? Only if the employee actually takes a 30-minute lunch break during which he or she is relieved of all dutes.
This assumes you are referring to a non-exempt (hourly paid) employee. |
