Default Lunches on Commission aasociates

State of colorado:
Nail tech, Give owner 3% of each job. Owner files a 1099 form on this associate. No hourly wage involved. Tech schedules own jobs, supplies all her own supplies. Does tech have to abide by 1 hour lunch law.

Thank you

No State has a one-hour lunch law. Colorado requires that employees be provided with a 30-minute meal period if the work day exceeds five hours. If the nature of business activities make that impractical, the employer may forgo providing the meal break and the employee may eat his or her meal "on the job" but the time must be paid.

Since you are not an employee, then I imagine your "employer" is not required to provide a meal period however.

Default Commission Lunches

If you are not an employee then, I take it you can take a longer lunch if your schedule client is not coming in for two hours lets say. You are your own boss?? This is a problem in a lot of areas because owners of shop expect you to be there even when you schedule and take care of your own people. Waiting sometimes two hours before you next client shows up. They threaten to fire you or ask you to leave their shops.
