Default Never received final paycheck

I am in Cincinnati, Ohio and I got a job, through a friend that works for this company. It was a mortgage company and after my interview was informed that "training" I would be getting my loan officer license. He started me doing telemarketing, calling "past" customers to see if they were in the market to re-finance, etc., etc., etc. After 3 weeks, he fired me, saying that telemarketing was not for me and that I was more of a direct sales type of person. I worked a total of 41 hrs and he agreed to pay me for the rest of the day, the day he fired me. I was fired on August 16th and am still waiting for my check consisting of those 41 hours. Any advice on what to do to collect?

There's not nearly enough information here to give an informed and complete response.

How often were you supposed to have been paid? Have you received any pay at all? For what period of time? When does each pay period stop and end and how much after the end of the pay period were you supposed to have been paid?

Default More information on "never received final paycheck" thread

I began working there on August 1, 2005. It was agreed upon that while in training and making thses telemarketing calls, I would be paid $10.00/hrly. From the day I was hired, the next scheduled payday was August 12th, I did not expect nor did I receive any pay on that scheduled day. The next scheduled day was August 25th, I was fired on August 18th, not 16th. I worked a total of 41 hr and expected to receive it on the 25th payday, but received nothing. Today, September 09 is the scheduled payday andf according to my friend, who works for the company, no check. Thanks for any help in this matter.
