I recently put in notice for the company I use to work for in Arizona (one week notice) and am trying to get this final check business understood. Now I understand that since I am quitting they should have to pay everything on the next pay day? The way everything works there that will be two pay periods (they are bi monthly) and all my gas reimbursment. So I should see all this on my check on the 12th (the next pay day) correct? Also where is the law that requires this?
These guys really try hard to make everything difficult for employees to quit so I need to know exactly what I am doing in order to get away from this place with my money and with as little hassle and delay. Thanks for any help! |

Expense reimbursement, to my knowledge, AZ law does not require the company reimburse you at all.
Re: final pay, here is the regulation: http://www.ica.state.az.us/Labor/lalawfaq.htm#Q5 In other words, no later than the pay check for the pay period that includes your last day on the payroll. And BTW, it's semi monthly, not bi-monthly. |
