Default Question

Hello, heres my situation, this deals both with OSHA, and Labor Laws, so im curious.
First off, i work in a restaurant, and i am required by my store manager to move a Moderate sized grease fryer (while there is hot grease inside) to clean behind it, DESPITE the fact that there is a caution on said fryer warning people against doing that. The district manager saw me once, and didnt say a thing. The fryer is on wheels, but has a tendency at times to want to tip (a fire hazard), Does this violate any direct OSHA laws or regulations?
Second off, the stores manager has already told EVERYONE in the store (at one store meeting at least) that any reporting of any behavior that she might have (such as the one mentioned above) to anyone over her head, would result in the immediate termination of that employee. What if any laws does that violate?
I am trying to give the District Manager the benefit of the doubt here, as he is somewhat new to the company (so im presuming that he DOESNT know about the caution on the fryer) but the store is comprised of 50% store managers friends to 50% Store Managers Relatives (both immediate and distant) and I believe if i discuss this with any of my co-workers, the Store Manager will let me go b4 i have the chance to talk to anyone else.
Currently I am seeking employment elsewhere, as i have started to feel uncomfortable in my workplace. Am i wrong in doing this?
