Default What Is The Law Regarding Employer Required Issues?

I had to take a drug test for a temp agency here in Phoenix. They had me take a drug test, but told me i had to pay for it, and it would come out of my first check. I am not originally from here, so this seems a little foreign in relation to what I have experienced in the past. If an employer required something of me, like a physical, drug screen, etc, they pay for it. Can anyone help me with an answer? Thanx in advance.

That's a good question and I honestly don't know the answer. I can tell you that it is certainly customary for the employer to pay the cost and in many States it may indeed be required. If no one else here can give you a definate answer, give's AZ's Department of Labor a call.
