From Michigan's Department of Labor website:

Employees under 18 years of age may not work more than 5 continuous hours without a 30 minute uninterrupted rest period. There are no requirements for breaks, meal or rest periods for employees over 18 years of age.

Your employer has no obligation to give you a paid lunch break - that is a generous benefit.

i would just like to say that you should be lucky that you get a lunch break, I work 8 hours a day and do not get a single break, it's unfair
