How about providing some further information, such as whether time worked is being deducted from someone's time card?

1/2 hr meal break is automatically taken off of time card. Other states it is against the law to in any way tamper with a time card. You must clock out to go to meal break and clock back in.

In all fifty states if you work through a break you must be paid for it.

If the employer wishes you to take a break and you do not, you can be disciplined in any other way the employer chooses, up to and including termination. But they cannot dock you for a break that you worked through in any state.
