Unhappy Getting fired for Discrimination

I live in Michigan and My employer is going to fire me because I have a medical condition. I have worked for 9 months with this condition and they have known about it. They are now asking for medical documentation. I am not the only employee in this place of employement, there is another employee with the exact condition that I have. PN ( Peripherial Neuropathy) They have not asked for any medical documentation from her. My question is when they do fire me what are my legal standings? Do they have to give me insurance and they pay for it because they are firing me for discrimination? Do I get a lawyer? It will happen, my boss has no idea what she is doing. They can't fire me because she thinks I can't work. I have worked straight 45 days and at least 50 to 60 hours a week on my feet. Now she is claiming that I can't do it and wants to get me out of there. What so I do? And wht about my insurance? I need it for medication!
Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank You

Default Peripherial Neuropathy

It may be difficult to claim discrimination if you have a coworker with the same condition who is not being terminated. Another factor is the question of whether your condition does indeed qualify as a disability protected by the Americans With Disabilities Act. For example, I could not find a mention of peripherial neuropathy on medical websites such as webmd. I'm not a medical professional so it may very well be a serious and valid medical condition with debilitating symptoms. However, not all illnesses and conditions are considered as disabilities. You may wish to look at the EEOC website for a further definition of a disability. www.eeoc.gov.

If you are terminated, they will not have to continue your medical insurance coverage, other than what is offered to you through COBRA (in which case you will be responsible for 102% of both the employer's and the employee's portions of the premium).

If you file a claim with the EEOC or with the Michigan Civil Rights Division (http://www.michigan.gov/gov/0,1607,7...6288--,00.html)
