Post AZ - No lunch

Ok here it is . I am not really into law . But I believe there has to be something to this . I am a construction worker and I was always told that I have to take a 15 minute break that is paid by the employer . Then a half hour lunch break between the 5th and 6th hour of an 8 hour day . Here is what I am curios about . My girl friend works at a restraunt and they give her 5 minute bathroom breaks but no lunches . She usually works any where from 6 to 10 hours in a day . If anybody knows what the law is on this I would really appreciate if you can tell me what it is . Thanks to everyone who responds .

Whoever told you that your employer is required to give you a 15 minute break and a half hour lunch break is wrong. In Arizona, it is entirely up to the employer whether to provide breaks and if so, for how long. No breaks are required by either Federal or Arizona law.
