Default Harrassment

I have a friend who works for a security firm. She works an 8-hr shift and has a camera on her during the entire time frame. The security supervisor watches her and of course it is taped. If she leaves the front desk (there is still another security officer present) even during slow periods, she either receives a call from the security center or perhaps an unexpected visit from the supervisor. In addition since there is a rule that states she cannot eat at teh front desk, when she enters the rear room to eat her lunch she will often receive a call. I have several questions....

1) Granted if North Carolina or federal law has no preserving norishment, does this mean that she should go with food from 6 am to 2 pm?
2) What is considered a reasonable amount of time she can step away from the desk before this causes an issue with regards to employment. Remember she is working for a jerk and the security desk is already staffed. Obsiously she must take bathroom breaks. On that note, are NC employers required to provide a bathroom break?

I have instructed her to start documenting her time with a stop watch. Is this wise, or will this just provoke more issues with her employer. Even with this data, what if her employer cares less if she is only spending a cummulative 30 min away from her desk during a day?

3) As a contractor, does the contractor rules supercede the client rules with regards to breaks? Can employers and contractors be treated differently?
4) Since she is only working 8 hrs per day and is on call during the 20 min lunch break, does she have to eat out front if someone else calls out?
5) Are security or certain positions treated any differently than others? Like can dispatch operators be held to a different break standard than other contractors?
