In California what are the laws regarding overtime for hourly employees. If they work more then 40 hours they get time and half correct? Then after 20 hours per work week do they get double time? What about Sundays after a 40 hour work week do they get time and a half?

California has very stringent overtime rules, some of the most stringent in the US. For example, non-exempt employees are to be paid overtime for hours worked over 8 in a week (as opposed to over 40 in a week specified in federal law).
A complete description of California overtime rules ma be found at: http://www.dir.ca.gov/dlse/FAQ_Overtime.htm Let me know if you have any other questions. |
